12月31日，小米董事长雷军在直播时针对“小米只花费100多亿元造车”的传闻进行辟谣。

雷军解释称，之前的表述是小米汽车在研发领域花了130多亿，但是还有工厂建设、渠道建设，员工招聘等方面的费用。实际上，小米汽车到现在造车花费了超过300亿元。雷军还表示，作为李斌与何小鹏的早期投资者，自己深知造车不易，所以也没有任何“偷奸耍滑”的想法。
